SMATRICS wins Deutsche Bahn AG as customer
SMATRICS will take over the operation of the 750 charging points currently in use and all future charging points of Deutsche Bahn AG with the central Charge Point Management System (CPMS). This is the result of a recently concluded framework agreement between the leading Austrian provider of charging infrastructure solutions and the largest German mobility service provider.
The focus is on managing the charging of company cars at home, fleet vehicles and guest vehicles at Deutsche Bahn locations and train stations. The cooperation also includes the operation of the charging infrastructure for e-buses in the depots.
"We are very pleased that we at SMATRICS have been able to convince the largest German mobility provider of our expertise," says Hauke Hinrichs, CEO of SMATRICS. "This shows once again that we can implement even very complex and customized IT and services at any time."
Charging & billing via SMATRICS software
SMATRICS uses its own CPMS charVIS Operations to ensure the smooth and economical operation of the charging infrastructure.
In addition, users of company cars that charge at home, for example, are reimbursed for the costs based on the current electricity price and billed collectively to the employer DB.
SMATRICS is working with EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, which provides both the fleet management with the EnBW Smart Mobility Portal and the EnBW mobility+ app.
Further development of the charging infrastructure for buses
The operation of the charging infrastructure for e-buses in the depots is also the focus of the cooperation between SMATRICS and Deutsche Bahn. The plan is to work together on automatic authentication solutions such as Autocharge.
Germany is an important focus market for SMATRICS, where numerous customer projects in various industries have already been successfully implemented in recent years.
EnBW is not only a shareholder and strategic partner of SMATRICS, but the close partnership also enables the joint provision of 360-degree charging solutions for fleet customers and the future-proof implementation of technical operations and rollout solutions for municipal utilities.
