SMATRICS expands location partnership with AMIC Energy, further STOP SHOP locations receive fast chargers “powered by SMATRICS”
More speed for the public fast charging network: charging station operator AMIC Energy and site partner CPI Europe are relying on SMATRICS' 360-degree service and are planning up to 40 more charging points at STOP SHOP locations in Austria in 2025.
"Our long-term cooperation with AMIC Energy shows that The expansion of public fast charging infrastructure needs continuity, reliability and high availability - this is the only way e-mobility can grow sustainably,” emphasizes Ronald Lausch, CSO at SMATRICS.
Since 2020, 40 ultra-fast charging points have already been installed as part of the collaboration. Another 40 will be added this year at six STOP SHOP locations. SMATRICS is involved in the search for locations for AMIC Energy and is responsible for all activities from planning and roll-out to ongoing operation, maintenance and billing.
E-mobility as location factor
Günter Maier, Managing Director at AMIC Energy, also knows that the choice of location is crucial: "E-charging is an integral part of the shopping experience - it is just as much a part of it as the optimal transport connections to our locations and the extensive parking facilities. With SMATRICS, we have a partner that provides us with comprehensive support in all phases and matters, and STOP SHOP retail parks are the ideal locations."
As a location partner, CPI Europe is continuously expanding the charging network at STOP SHOP locations. "We support the transformation towards electromobility and the use of renewable energies and focus on sustainable and climate-friendly mobility concepts. With our partners AMIC Energy and SMATRICS, we offer access to charging infrastructure at our STOP SHOPs,” Katrin Gögele-Celeda, Country Manager Austria & Adriatic at CPI Europe.
With the AMIC Energy-branded charging stations “powered by SMATRICS”, which are yellow in the STOP SHOP, customers can charge ultra-fast while shopping, using clean electricity from 100% renewable energy. Payment is made individually and easily using a SMATRICS charging card, an app or via direct payment with a debit or credit card.
Further STOP SHOP locations with e-charging infrastructure are being implemented or planned this year in Oberwart, Mattersburg, Eisenstadt, Stoob, Eferding and Voitsberg.
