Charging by your mobile phone

The motto for SMATRICS customers: “No card? No problem!” Find out here how easily you can activate any SMATRICS station with your mobile phone:

1. Login

Log into the customer area with your SMATRICS account. Either in the SMATRICS app or directly on the SMATRICS website. 
If you don’t yet have a SMATRICS account, you can create one here.

2. Select charging station

Select the desired charging station from the map or list.​

Connect your vehicle’s charging cable to station and vehicle .

NOTE: Some stations have locked sockets. If this is the case, the cable will be connected at a later stage.

3. Select charging point

Select a suitable charging point in the detailed view of the charging station and press the “Charge” button.

Charging can be started if the selected charging point is displayed as FREE.

4. Start

Confirm with START​.

NOTE: In case of stations with locked sockets, the cable can now be inserted into the station. 

5. Terminate charging

​Charging is terminated with the “Stop” button.

You can now remove the cable.

When you have finished, your charging record is shown under “My charges”.


  • Charging with your mobile is only possible for Single NET, Smart NET and Active NET plans.
  • Charging can be started and terminated using the SMATRICS app instead of the SMATRICS charging card. It is not possible to combine both methods. If charging is started using the app, it must be terminated using the app.
  • After charging, please leave the car park within 15 minutes so that other customers can use it.
